As Head of Clinical and Regulatory Research Services at the Gates Institute, she leads strategic initiatives that enhance clinical operations, ensure regulatory integrity, and foster innovation across academic and healthcare ecosystems.
Dr. Mallela has a proven track record of transforming organizations through evidence-based practices, operational rigor, and collaborative leadership. Her career spans senior roles across academic medical centers, pharmaceutical companies, health plans, and integrated health systems. She holds a PhD in Management, an MBA, and a BSN, with a foundational background in nursing. Dr. Mallela is board-certified in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Infection Prevention and Control (CIC).
