Shane Smith is the Chief Strategy Officer of Intelliguard, a healthcare solutions provider that protects patients and hospitals by creating a continuously evolving environment of safety around every medication decision through an advanced data platform, interoperable software architecture, and RFID-powered stations and cabinets. Intelliguard’s ecosystem of products delivers unprecedented inventory control, the highest levels of data security, and workflows aligned with industry best practices.

In his role as Chief Strategy Officer, Mr. Smith is instrumental in shaping the company’s future through strategic planning and execution, including forging key partnerships and driving new business initiatives.   

Shane is a seasoned executive and strategist who has focused intently on growth and innovation throughout his career. His experience spans numerous industries, including healthcare and technology. For nearly 30 years, he has applied his analytical insight and legal acumen to provide business strategy and technology counsel to start-up, midsize, and Fortune 500 companies navigating complex challenges. At Intelliguard, he leverages his foundation in strategy consulting, investment banking, and transactional law to identify untapped opportunities, drive innovative solutions, and deliver value to the health systems Intelliguard serves.

Prior to joining Intelliguard, Shane spent a decade cultivating strategic accounts, loyalty partnerships and product offerings for United Airlines. Previously, Smith held a number of executive and consultative roles, providing financial analysis and transformative business advice to C-suite leaders and boards of directors. He also has deep experience in public and private acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctorate and MBA from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting, and Finance from Miami University.
