Gina Vanderveen
Clinical Trial Operations Manager
Gina joined the Gates Institute in June 2023 as the Clinical Trial Operations Manager on the CELLS team. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that all day-to-day trial activities run efficiently and compliantly while supporting the needs of clinical sites, study data monitors, product management team, and Clinical Investigations and Regulatory Sciences subject matter experts. Gina has over a decade of experience in clinical trials and has been working at CU Anschutz with Children’s Hospital Colorado since September 2015 when she moved to Colorado from Michigan. Gina earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan in 2012 and has held many different roles in clinical research including survey administrator (English/Spanish), human subjects coordinator, database manager, regulatory specialist, and project manager. Her passion lies in the nitty gritty details of clinical trials and solving problems to get life-changing therapies to patients. When Gina isn’t busy at work, she can usually be found relaxing with her fiancé (Jimmy) and yellow Labrador retriever (Hondo). She enjoys exploring beautiful Colorado through rock climbing, backpacking, hiking, and trail running.
